Youth mental health is significant issue nationally as well as within South County Dublin. There is aperception amongst both service providers and parents that many children and young people are beingexposed to increasingly complex stressors and that the range of influences on their wellbeing are agrowing challenge. Whether this is the case or not, we do know that services are under pressure to respondeffectively, quickly and appropriately.This Report is the result of strong inter-agency working, bringing together statutory services with the community and voluntary sector, engaging with hospitals and community based providers, andoffering an opportunity for a number of disciplines and services to share their collective wisdom andinsights to better understand local dynamics.

Doodle Families is a Family Literacy Programme, designed to be delivered in two components – one forparents/guardians and the other is for children. Quantifying kindness, public engagement and place presents findings from the first ever quantitative survey on kindness in communities and public services. The data reveals a reassuring and yet complex picture of kindness in the UK and Ireland, with generally high levels of kindness reported, but at the same time variations in experiences between jurisdictions and across social groups.The research also sheds light on how people describe the place they live in, revealing that two in five people in the UK self-identify as living in a town; and provides insights into people's sense of control over public services, and how they perceive and act upon various methods of public engagement.The data was collected by Ipsos MORI, on behalf of the Carnegie UK Trust; surveys were run with representative random sampling of approximately 1,000 people in each of the five legislative jurisdictions in the UK and Ireland

There is a growing body of research demonstrating its impact and an evolving group of champions. This report, and the conference which preceded it, is just one of the tangible outcomes of the continuing growth in this field and is one of the outputs of collaboration between two aligned structures.

This is the final report of an independent evaluation of Atlantic's Migration Programme that ran from 2004 until 2014. The Programme issued grants to organisations helping migrants to gain access to justice and services. The report presents findings about the impacts the Programme had on law, policy and practice in Ireland.The evaluation identified a number of promising practices for civil society organisations advocating for policy and practice change, as well as for funders supporting such organisations. A set of case studies showcase these promising practices, focusing on using legal and community-based advocacy, developing and harnessing information to inform policy and practice, building links to Brussels to influence national and European migration policy and communicating advocacy messages about migration.

In 2007, the Child and Family Research Centre, NUI Galway, was commissioned by the PMC to evaluate Globe: All Ireland Programme for Immigrant Parents. From 2007 - 2009 a number of interim evaluation reports were submitted to the PMC on the development phase of the project and its resources. In 2009, following the extension of the project, the objectives of the evaluation were revised. These objectives, which underpin this final evaluation report, are as follows:Examine and assess the pilot phase;Examine and assess the uptake and use of the Information Packs by parents and practitioners;Examine and assess the partnership working and development on a multi-sectoral and crossborder basis of the PMC, and more generally in meeting the needs of immigrant parents;Examine and assess the mainstreaming of learning and good practice; andExamine and assess the training/awareness raising and support of practitioners in delivering the programme.
